One Week in LA

It’s officially been one week since I housed myself in LA and so far, it’s been an interesting experience. Going running every other day at Runyon Canyon has somewhat eased the process, however, “reality” hasn’t quite sunk in. I’m still trying to acclimate and find where I fit in the “Hollywood” world and am patiently awaiting where the universe takes me. What initially began with only one goal has transformed into something broader. Yes- it’d be amazing to perform on stage and be the world renown, talented, show stopping touring artist that I’ve always sought and known to be, but the diversity in my portfolio showcases various facets of my creativity, and I refuse to limit myself. At this exact moment in my life, I am awaiting to see which avenue will pull me towards its direction. Lots of groundwork submitting for different positions and going to various creative mixers to meet other talented individuals has occupied a lot of my time. Freelancing into the creative field can be a rollercoaster ride, and I’m mentally prepared for that. I find myself convincing and reminding myself through intense conversations why I am cut out for this and thus, why I will be successful. After all, it’s easier to amplify the flaws than accept the beauty. Apart from grace, kindness, intelligence, drive, and ambition, belief in oneself and faith are my key ingredients. One thing that remains the same is my focus to be successful, happy, and making money. I haven’t come this far by risking it all to fail miserably and quite honestly, there’d be no greater feeling than that of giving back and making my parents proud! So I continue along my way. This is week one in LA.
